The end of August festival. In the sports fields below the village there are food stands for dinner and some music. Friday and Saturday evenings there is only food while on Sunday there are other events. Check the notice boards in Pianella for the exact dates at the end of August.

Held in November, this new olive oil festival provides the opportunity to taste and buy the local new olio. It is possible to have dinner also but this must be booked in advance. Check the notice boards for the exact dates as it varies according to the olive harvest, and a contact number to book meals.

Pievesciata and it's art​
Pievasciata is a small village in the heart of the Chianti. It has become a contemporary art hamlet thanks to a project due to a collaboration
between the cultural association ""Friends of the Park"", the municipality of Castelnuovo Berardenga, the province of Siena and the region of Tuscany. In the area around the village there have been installed several art works.

Chianti Sculpture park​
This sculpture park is the only example of site-specific contemporary art in the province of Siena. There is a lovely walk through the park with various installations to admire. To enhance your visit and experience of the park download their App, ChiantiPark.

The galley is composed of a private collection of contemporary Asian and European art, many of which are unique pieces. There is also a collection of over 200 sculptures from artists of Asia, Africa, South America and Europe.
